Spark and Dissolve - National Review of Live Art, February 2008

Originally selected as an Elevator artist at Glasgow's acclaimed Live Art festival NRLA, Sarah Jane was then chosen to develop her practice and invited back for 2008 as a One Year On artist.

The work she developed was Spark and Dissolve: an interactive performance installation investigating the intimate world of contracts, verbal and binding.

I wanted to call this work 'For fuck sake, man, I mean Jesus, can't we just connect for twenty minutes?' But my Mum's Catholic and it just didn't work for her. She likes Spark and Dissolve.

Something's happened. I want to tell you more.

It's nothing for you to worry about. It's over now and I'm ok.

I'm going to let you into a little secret but in order for this to continue I need you to sign a contract.
